Los Pueblos Blancos
I created this illustrative design for a micro business created by a group of high school juniors in Nicaragua and business students from the US. The students wanted to brand their town and create a business through printing t-shirts that could be sold to tourists!
The illustration is half an image of Sandino, a famous nicaraguan revolutionary who comes from Los Pueblos Blancos, and half an artisan vase in the local style.
The logotype was initially sketched by the students, and is inspired by local folklore, which often features snakes. The logo will be used for simple products like keychains!
The collaboration was a hit. The students were able to print prototype shirts for their presentation & a local artisan who worked with the students engraved my design into a vase!
